Whit Petrell is a second-generation musician who has been playing since he was a child. Playing the upright bass in the school orchestra & singing in 2 of the choirs, his love for music grew as well as his talent & skill. However, he openly admits that he didn’t take music too seriously till he was 17 when he picked up the bass. Since then, he has amassed quite a resume.
He has worked with numerous LA based bands, becoming well versed in different styles of music, from funk to heavy metal. His ability to keep a tight groove with the drummer is rare, but Whit is a natural & loves the comfort of “playing in the pocket.” And his ability to sing a full range of genres always keeps the crowd entertained. He is the consummate professional.
